ABOUT

Susan Skosko earned her BFA in Theatre Arts Performance, from the Pennsylvania State University, Main Campus.   While at PSU, at the age of 21, she was the winner of the Frank S. Neusbaum Theatre Arts Fund Award, Talent Scholarship.  She was featured in Myles and Velvet Eddie, Penn State’s Cannes Film winner, which later went on to the Cannes Film Festival in France.

At Penn State Main her BFA Studies included a semester of intense Shakespeare Studies with professor, Michael Connolly, and members from the Royal Shakespeare Company were brought in to teach workshops in Stage Combat and Monologue studies for BFA and MFA Candidates. Her PSU studies also included an intensive semester of “THE GREEKS-The War-The Murders-The Gods”, a cycle of 10 plays that the RSC performed; adapted, wrote and directed by John Barton and Kenneth Cavander.

Highlight role at Penn State URTC was Mr. Bertie, in THE CLUB, a musical diversion where 7 women portray 7 men at the turn of the century. The ladies were bound, padded, and restrained for their roles as men, costumed by Timothy R. McKelvey in proper club period attire. Daily Collegian columnists Joan Morykin wrote, “An especially funny scene involves presentation of the Club’s annual play, in which Susan Skosko as the treasurer, Bertie, portrays a woman. As an actress playing a man playing a man’s idea of a woman, Skosko amusingly maneuvers the audience through several layers of stereotypical sexist imagery.”

Off-and Off-Off Broadway, and NYC credits:  Off-Off-Broadway she was recently seen as Tilly in Dostoyevsky/The Voire Dire Project 1.5 at the acclaimed Theater For The New City’s 2017 Dream Up Festival, produced with Cosmic Orchid.  Last seen at Manhattan Repertory Theatre in “FATE” and in the one woman shows “THERAPIST”, “THE GUARDIAN”, by Coni Koepfinger.
